* PDP’s Plans to influence election tribunal uncovered
To Rep. Ngozi Okolie, the member of House of Representative-elect, representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, and his numerous supporters, Saturday 25, 2023, was indeed a milestone in his political career as the David of the modern time that conquered the Goliath of the modern time.
Before the election, Ngozi Okolie was the underdog like David in the Bible, while Ndudi Elumelu, was the Goliath. The victory of Okolie’s election has finally put to rest the earlier doubts of seeing him coming out victorious.
Prior, to the election, many have believed that Elumelu’s resources and political connections would have given him an easy ride over Okolie, who went into the election without a kobo, but just with few posters displayed. Even those presently following him and showing supports now, before his victory were not even confident that he will win.
It could be recalled that before the election, Okolie was a lone ranger. He drives himself in his car and moves alone, as no one wanted to identify with him because he came from unpopular party and had no money to lavish. He had already been termed a failure. Today, Okolie has become a bride whom everyone wants to identify with.
Okolie, a native of Asaba and a product of a choice institution, St. Patrick’s College, Asaba, popularly known as “varsity on the Niger”, made inroads in politics two decades ago after championing Anioma project with one Chief Alban Okonkwo, a profile which in the reckoning gives him a credit.
He was a member of PDP, later becoming a Director in the DLA. He is imbued with the inspirations and skills for politics. He had aspired to contest the Federal House of Representatives seat under Accord party years back.
Today, Okolie has been handed victory by God, who chooses whom he wants. His victory is God made and no man claim delivery victory to him.
However, Okolie should always bear in mind that God gave him this position, as such he should represent the constituency well. He should change the old order, where elected people forget about their constituencies and use public funds to enrich themselves.
He should also be weary of those around him now, they do not love him but only looking for their stomach infrastructure. These were people who were not with him when he was down, but have resurfaced because he assessed power, same will abandon him if he is out of power.
In another development, information reaching ZN has revealed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is doing everything possible to influence the outcome of the election tribunal in order to upturn Ngozi Okolie’s mandate. But one thing that remains paramount is that Ngozi Okolie is God’s anointed. David in the bible went to war the almighty Goliath with catapult while Goliath came with all the amours of war, but within a twinkle of an eye, he fell to David because David was the chosen one.
PDP, which is the Goliath is coming to war against Ngozi Okolie with all the fortified amours of war but they will still fall like Goliath.
