Victory for the masses.   The people of Delta North Senatorial District (ANIOMA), have started heaving a sign of relief and liberation, as Hon.  Ned Nwoko, emerged the Senatorial standard bearer of the PDP for the 2023 election. To emerge, Ned consumed other contestants with victory votes from the PDP delegates that cast their votes due to he is a man of the people. With this victory there is no doubt to say he is a waiting Senator to be come 2023.

His victory was not a surprise to the Delta North people because they know that his good works will always bring victory to him. But what is paramount in this victory is that, when he gets to the red carpet chamber he will deliver the dividends of democracy to the Delta North Senatorial District because he has been tested. He is of a quality politician with integrity than those that have gone before him to represent the people. The primary joy presently coming up in Delta North is that, his emergence as a candidate, conferred that with GOD he will defeat other candidates with ease. Those that have represented Delta North, in this Senatorial position have not done. Because instead of representing well, they lined their pockets with the resources meant for the district, hence abandoning the people, only to come back during election to seek the people’s votes gain. The people of Delta North have no doubt, that Ned remains the only person with the capacity to deliver the Delta North Senatorial District from its present quagmire amongst those contesting the position.

Ned who is a former member of the Federal House of Representatives and one of the political bigwigs in Delta State, hails from Idumuje Ugboko, Aniocha North Local Government Area, of the State. Ned, an international lawyer of repute, philanthropist, had contested the Senatorial seat two times, but lost due to what one will call ill luck. The first against the incumbent Governor of Delta State, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, and the second against the present Senator, Peter Nwaoboshi. The two appearances he gave good accounts of himself. His coming out again for the 2023 election would make it the third time. Before going into Senatorial race, he had contested the governorship position as APGA candidate against the former jailed governor of Delta State, James Onanefe lbori, but was rigged out.

Ned, being popular did not come from the blues, but from his good representation of his people while in the Federal House of the Representatives. As a member of the House, he attracted lots of Federal projects to Delta State, which included the dualization of Benin/Asaba Express Road, building of the Police Headquarters in Asaba, building of NTA Station, Asaba.
