Ned Nwoko, Rita Daniel, Delta State Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Storm Anioma Summit In Grand Style.
During the Anioma Summit recently held in Asaba, the capital city of Delta State, the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Ned Nwoko, said was not the one who started the process of Anioma State creation but by the grace of God, he will finish it
He stressed he will speak fearlessly at all time because the Delta North people elected him to represent them in the National Assembly.
Speaking further, he confirmed he was a Member of the Elite Senate Committee on Amendment of the Constitution”
He said that the creation of Anioma State was history to be made. As such the Delta Northerners would all be part of the history.
He promised to invite the Delta North people to Abuja,during the public hearing of the Anioma State creation bill
He revealed that the bill, after the 3rd reading will be presented to President Ahmed Tinubu for his assent”
Continuing,he said he wrote to the president recently on the issue of Anions State creation.
He said he met the immediate past Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, during the PDP recent Congress, whom he said was fully in support of Anioma State creation.
He affirmed that if eventually Anioma State was created,the pioneer Governor will come from the Ndokwa Nation”.
He said that his aim for fight to see that Anions State was created was not for him to become the Governor, but his struggle for the creation was for the freedom of Delta Northerners.
He said he was not happy with the situations on ground in Delta North Communities , especially Aboh town, which wept because of their situation.
The National Women Leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide ,Rita Daniel, who led the Pan Ethnic and Social Cultural Group, which is the mouthpiece of the Igbo speaking nation worldwide, with the Delta State President of the Organization Mr Ndudi Sylvester and the members of the State Executive, confirmed the support of Anioma State creation.
Based on this development the Organization has promised to work hands in gloves with Ned Nwoko to see that Anioma State was created.
A member of the National Assembly, who is representing the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency in the Federal House Representatives, Rep Ngozi Okolie said he will give his all to see that Anioma State was created
Eminent sons and daughters of Delta North extractions in the traditional rulers.
A Technical committee was also constituted to fast track the process of the creation.
