The former Transition Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Council, Delta State, Honourable Emeka Nmadu, who joined his ancestors recently has been laid to rest.
He hailed from Okpanam, had his post nursery education, at St Bernard’s Primary School, Illah and post primary education at St Anthony’s College, Ubulu Uku, Aniocha South, Delta State. He later proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, Osun State, then University of Ife, where he joined the Skala Klob.
He started his professional career in the then Nigerian Agricultural and cooperative Bank, Port Harcourt. He further worked in Auson Nigeria Limited, Commodity Merchants Nigeria Limited, Haisha Investment Limited, Union Foods Nigeria Limited.
He also worked in Delta Tourism Board, Asaba, where he served as the General Manager.
Emeka Nmadu, however went into private businesses, where he sprang up so many personal companies which included Maltek Resources Limited.
He was a Chatered Accountant and a popular politician and one of the founders of the People’s Democratic Party in Delta State.
Left to mourn him were the wife, children, relatives and friends.
Amongst those that attended the burial ceremony were a former Delta State Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Culture, and Ide of Ibusa, Dr Austin Izagbo, Member representing Aniocha /Oshimili in the National Assembly, Rep Ngozi Okolie, immediate past Secretary to the Delta State Government and the Director General, Delta Development Capital Territory, Patrick Ukah, Delta State Commissionerfor Women Affairs and former Delta State House of Assembly Member, Barister Princess Patricia Ajudua.
Others included the Member representing Oshimili North in the Delta House of Assembly, Barrister Frank Esenwa, Anene Chigbue, Barrister Omere Dunkwu, Architect Kester Ifeadi, Vice Chancellor, Delta State University, Professor Andy Egwuyenga.
Also in attendance were members of Skala Klob, Onihe of Ubulu Uku and former Senior Special Assistant to a former Delta State Deputy Governor, Emmanuel Ejiofor, Former Oshimili North Local Government Council Chairman, Barrister Ben Okonkwo, Queen’s Council, Professor Fidelis Oditah, Olu Anthony, immediate past Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government Council Innocent Esewezie , Innocent Uchubuolu, Barrister Fidel Okeze, The Vice Chancellor University of Delta, Mrs Patricia Nbah, former Zonal Manager, Haritage Bank, Charles Ojakovo, The Member representing Oshimili South in the Delta House of Assembly, Bridget Anyafulu and many more.
