A Non Government, not Profit and Human Rights Organization, the Eagle Eyes, has called on Nigerians to continue to criticize President Ahmed Tinubu’s APC dreaded government on bad governance and harsh policies, but not on tribal grounds.
The group stated that it was only those that have not been in power have the right to criticize the failed Tinubu’s government.
The group said that it was a known fact that anyone who wants to go for equity should come with clean hands.
According to the group most people who are speaking against Tinubu’s government contributed to the bad situations the country has found herself now. Because they have the opportunities of being in government but failed to do the right things.
Speaking further the group stressed that the aims of these critics were not for the betterment of the country but because they have been sidelined or looking for opportunities to get back into the public office positions and remain relevant.
On issues concerning tribalism and nepotism in government, the group said that Tinubu, was not the first to bring such demonic act into public office and he will not be the last because of the bad foundations put on grounds by those who imposed themselves as leaders of the country.
The group said that if anyone should go down the history you will discover that tribalism in government circle did not start today.
The first President General of Nigeria, the late Owelle of Onitsha, Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, was deprived of his position in the West because he was not a Yoruba man. The creation of States in Nigeria was done on tribal grounds. The Northerners got the highest number of States because as at the time the creation was done the Northerners were in power .
If we should continue, you will see that when the Northerners were in power the best and majority of public office positions went to them, same applied to Tinubu’s government.
When You proceed to States and Local Government Areas, same things happen. Majority and juices positions are given to their own people by the Governors and Council Chairmen. This is happening because our said leaders built the nation on bad foundations and bad precedents.
