Recently in Anambra State, Pastor Odumeje, was seriously dehumanised in the public by men of Anambra Tasks Force led by men of the Nigerian Police while trying to stop the Tasks Force from demolishing his church that was marked for demolition by the State government because the structure was said to be blocking part of the drainage system. This negative and uncivilized action carried out on Odumeje has attracted public condemnation from well meaning Nigerians and Organizations. Among those that condemned the action were the Civil Liberties Organization and Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Youth Wing, all of Delta State branch.  Speaking with ZN, the scribes of both organizations said that those who carried out the action on Odumeje should seriously be punished for their barbaric action.  They said that the action of the police amounted to infringing into the rights of Odumeje and abuse of his Human Rights.

In the same vain the scribes who claimed that their organizations are not partisans but have  stakes in Nigerian politics hit hard on a former governor of Delta State,  who was jailed  in London for money laundering,  James Onanefe lbori and his former aide, David Edevbie who lost the State’s governorship  primary to the Delta State Speaker,  Sheriff. The Scribes stated that lbori and Edevbie have no locust to impose or dictate who becomes next governor of Delta State come 2023. They said lbori is a criminal and Edevbie his accomplice is not qualified to be the governor of the State because of his bad track records. Delta State cannot afford  allowing lbori to impose Edevbie as governor. That will bring another round of looting the State treasury and bad governance for eight years. The State has not recovered from lbori’s looting as governor. Allowing Edevbie to succeed Okowa will be another disaster to Delta State and her citizens. The Scribes who stated that they were not supporting Okowa’s government said the truth must always be said because as stake holders in Delta State we were all living witnesses of lbori’s maladministrative government. Okowa’s government has performed better than lbori’s and Uduaghan’s administration despite is not commiserate to the resources that came into the State.  However Okowa has done better than both and he should be given the credit.
