The recent news making the rounds of the arrest of the fraudulent Smart Agenda Boss and immediate past Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, by the corrupt EFCC, shameless President Ahmed Tinubu, is inconsequential and of no effect.
The Animal Farm APC led government of President Ahmed Tinubu, which has exhibited that all animals are equal but some are more equal than others by affiliation has been using the corrupt criminal cartel, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, which should be better addressed as Economic and Facilitating Crimes Commission, to hunt those who are political problems or against their nepotic agendas.
Arresting Okowa, for allegedly stealing over N1.3trillion, belonging to the people of Delta State, is not wrong. What is wrong about it is, a criminal has no locus arrest a criminal engaging or engaged in the same criminality. The already created insinuations is that nothing positive is going to come out from the arrest, as it will go the normal way other arrest of government criminals have always gone. The norm is, give us our own percentage of the booty’s and go your way. After that join APC and support the government. On the other hand if you don’t want to join the party and support the government, just drop your political ambition, remain wherever you belong, no criticism, keep mute and voiceless.
It is clear that the EFCC, is being used to box Okowa, to the corner, for him to drop his 2027, political ambition.
It is a known fact that while in office Okowa, allegedly stole a lot of funds belonging to Delta State, which led to Deltans being impoverish and making them debtors.
For the EFCC to redeem their good back before Nigerians and convince the citizens that Okowa, will be punished for his nefarious act, persons like the former Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, who is freely moving about untouched and hub nubbins with the EFCC, who pretends that his whereabouts is presently unknown should be arrested and brought to book with other present and former governments functionary including President Ahmed Tinubu, whose names are in the criminal list of the anti graft.
The records earlier revealed by Tinubu ‘s Security Adviser, Alhaji Nuhu Ribadu, who was a one time boss of the anti graft and other previous bosses, showed that Tinubu and over forty members of his present Ministers, fraudulently enriched themselves with public funds.
It is said that he who goes for equity must go with clean hands.
