A renowned Human Rights Organization, which has Professor Wole Soyinka, as one of the Patrons, the Civil Liberties Organization, Delta State branch, in a meeting in its secretariat held today, in Asaba, had condemned a popular musician, Asake , for coming out with a video discrediting the Christians especially the Catholic fold and the Almighty God. The Organization vehemently condemned the video, the producer and the participants.
The Rights Organization has given Asake, 48hours , to render apologies to the Christians especially the Catholic fold, withdraw the videos from the markets and stop its circulation with immediate effect.
The Organization has also called on Nigerians irrespective of their religion to stop selling, buying, playing and patronizing any product of Asake, until he made a public apology to that effect.
Henceforth Nigerians should disassociate themselves from Asake until he tendered unreserved apology to the Christians, especially the Catholics.
What Asake did in the video amounts to abusing Christianity and challenging God.
The Organization stated that no matter whom you are, you can never be above God. And also people should respect region in order to avoid spiritual and society problems.
