Chief Bode George or Dr. Bode ‘Gbore and Intellectual Dishonesty

0

This is intellectual dishonesty, laced with dozens of social facts but devoid of common sense and logic. The references to global inflation is sickening, for example, UK and Liz Truss’ less than 2-months Prime Ministership; like Emilokan she did not know what she got herself into, but Emilokan has been much more worse. If the North supported and refused to protest against Buhari, his family’s finale apologies to Nigerians contributed to this current hardships protest of August 1-10, 2024.

Removal of Petrol Subsidy elevated Emilokan passed Buhari as the worst president Nigeria ever had. Subsequent Tinubu untested policies, US Dollar-Naira exchange rate parity policy showed that even what Buhari saw as a wreck, Tinubu did not realize that. His first cut which was the harshest and deepest, petrol subsidy removal, has shown that Nigeria can never be the same again. Truthfully, Atiku and Peter Obi mouthed the same policy of subsidy removal, but I, Nnamdi Onochie, 2023 Presidential Aspirant of PDP-PRP, provided a documented Template to reduce per liter price of petrol to N75.00.

Atiku and Tinubu refused to participate in TV debates, to profess how they would govern Nigeria if they won, that in part is why Nigeria is at this juncture, and Generation Z will not accede to call off the Hardships Protests. What about Zoning and Rotation of the Presidential position?

Both PDP and APC rejected it in 2023; the Imbalances and non workability of the 1999 Consitution of Nigeria shows how shallow the fabric of Nigeria is. It is sunk already. The North refused to protest against Buhari at #ENDSARS, the current protest is not like that former, but the refusal to criticize Buhari, has worsened this one because no lessons were learned, now the cost would be much much higher.

Yoruba elite appear to prefer not to protest against Tinubu. This will worsen the situation this time around. But to conclude that since the North supported Buhari during #ENDSARS, then Yorubas must also not protest against Tinubu. How the times have changed; Obafemi Awolowo would have vehemently opposed supporting Tinubu’s current economic and financial policies, merely because he is Yoruba.

Apart from the economy, failures of policy focus is biting hard against Tinubu. Buying presidential yacht, presidential jet plane, VP’s new mansion, National Assembly jumbo salaries, N91 Billion Naira 2024 Mecca Pilgrimage, allowances and constituency projects allowances at the National Assembly, while the ordinary citizens are scampering, scavenging and begging for daily food ratios, all have provoked protests that pleading for dialogue cannot stop. Patriotism and unity? Insecurity, ethnic and Muslim domination has rendered Nigeria ungovernable. Separatism cannot be eclipsed any more, and the experiences of Sudan, which is nearly ready to be split into three, is closer to Nigeria. Yoruba Nation, Ijaw Republic, Biafra, Middle Belt Republic, Anioma Confederation, etc point to the senselessness of blind support for political deviousness, such as Tinubu’s policies that have driven Nigeria to where she is now: bribery, corruption, buying of delegates at Conventions, buying of votes during presidential election, bribery of INEC Chairman, Supreme Court of Nigeria corruption and rejection of proof by Atiku of Tinubu’s non possession of basic WASC Constitutional requirement, yet the declaration of 2023 presidential election in favor of the culprit by the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Insecurity within Nigeria, raging now since 2009; Boko Haram, ISWAP, Ansaru, Bandits, Fulani herdsmen, Unknown Gunmen, ESN etc; huge oil-gas theft, futures sales of crude oil and collection of money till 2027; criminal printing of fresh Trillion Naira notes and warehousing same in private silos and warehouses of dozen APC cronies, which in part is driving the devaluation of the Naira, and strafing hyperinflation, hardships and public suffering; decayed infrastructures, federal roads and highways. Patriotism and unity: it is near impossible to call for patriotism in Nigeria today, scapegoating of Ibos, domination by Northerners, Yorubas and Muslims, stopping Ibos from voting in Lagos State March 25, 2023: no complaints from Yorubas or Hausa-Fulani over disenfranchisement of Ibos.

Constitutional dissolution of Nigeria today, is most apt, to allow ethnic nationalities to form new countries based on prior agreed modalities, which will enable the progress and development of the ordinary peoples. No redemption is possible in Nigeria any more. The recommended Yoruba support of Tinubu because the North supported Buhari during #ENDSARS is illogical, wrong and it will further worsen the situation.
