When God’s hand is on someone and something, nobody can stop the success from emanating. So, Rep Ngozi Okolie’s recent victory in the last election of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency was by God’s making, not man. As such nobody could stop the victory, because God has made it so. Like June 12, 1993 election where 14million Nigerians voted and majority of them decided that late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola should be their ruler. Which we knew that 14million voters cannot be wrong. So also it was with Rep Ngozi Okolie, whom thousands of Aniocha/Oshimili people voted for. One of the most thrilling aspects of power is that it makes the holder to forget tomorrow. As far they are concerned tomorrow will never come. It can be decreed away. That was what happened to those who held power before Ngozi Okolie’s emergence.
Aniocha/Oshimili people should discard the deceit of PDP and those making campaign of calumny against Rep Ngozi Okolie and continue to rally around him to defend their votes, because same had opportunities of being in power, but failed the people because of their selfish interest, forgetting that power belongs to God Almighty. Brave and bold Ngozi Okolie, as he is fondly called, although a first class recognized chief of different communities in Nigeria, but does not like to be addressed with the titles is a product of an imperial institution in Nigeria, the great St Patrick’s College, Asaba. The college that produced the likes of Governors Jim Nwobodo, Odigie Oyegun, Ambrose Alli, Justices Nsolo, Aliu, Chuba Okadigbo, Ngozichukwuka Konwea, Senior Advocates of Nigeria Epiphany Azinge, Idigbe Anthony, Onyemenem Chike. Others include Afam Obiagor, Chike Ogeah, Mofe Richard Damijo, Ogbechie Gabriel(owner of Rain Oil), Charles Ojugbana and many other important personalities in Nigeria.
His readiness to accept responsibilities showed he has the abilities and capabilities to represent and work for the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and even beyond. As a man of the people he has been enlisted amongst the Anioma Greats. The people of Aniocha/ Oshimili Federal Constituency told ZN that with his wealth of experience in politics and one time the piloter of a Social Cultural cum Political Organization called Anyi Bu Ofu, which was founded by Alban Okonkwo, they believed he will not misrepresent them. Before now he was one time a Director in the Delta State Direct Labour Agency. He previously contested the the House of Representatives’ position years back under Accord Party.
