Immediate past Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has extended his warm greetings to Christians on the celebration of Christmas, the commemoration of the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.
In his Christmas message on Wednesday, Elumelu stressed that the coming of Jesus Christ is the manifestation of God’s love “which brought redemption, salvation and divine hope for mankind”.
He said that the occasion of Christmas “grants mankind the opportunity for introspection, dedication and closer relationship with God which should be manifested in a life love, care, charity, forgiveness, respected and peaceful coexistence with one another.”
Elumelu felicitated with the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency and Delta State for “their sense of unity and support for one another and urges them to use the period of Christmas to further promote and strengthen the bonds of love and harmony among them.”
The former leader of the opposition in the House of Representatives called on the people of Delta State to continue to support and pray for the Governor of Delta State Delta, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, in his exceptional service to the people of Delta State and humanity in general
“As we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ, I want to extend my warmest greetings to the wonderful people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta State and Nigerians as a whole. May this festive season bring us joy, peace, and togetherness, Elumelu said.
He called on the people to remain in prayers for the nation to find direction, especially at this critical moment in history.
