Inaugurating 88-Members Transition Committee in the Unity Hall of the Delta State Government House, Asaba charged with the responsibility to produce a policy document that would enable the incoming administration hit the ground running on May 29th 2023,the Governor-Elect of the State, Rt(Hon) Sheriff Oborevwori disclosed that the core mandate of his administration is for Consolidation, Growth Investment, and Economic Reform, and for making the youth the centrepiece of his policies and programmes.
According to Oborevwori, the transition Committee is expected to set short medium and long terms targets for the incoming government and accommodate any other critical sector that may have been left out as it relates to the M.O.R.E Agenda.
He said “I eagerly look forward to your recommendations for the successful take-off of the next administration with God’s grace and enablement, we shall do more to ADVANCE Delta State.”
He further stressed that the people of Delta State so much believe in the M.O.R.E Agenda programme, which is designed to advance the state in all aspects of Infrastructural, human capital development and economic wellbeing of the state.
It was learnt that sheriff Oborevwori, having the background as a Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly for seven years, is an advantage that will add value to the leadership quality of his administration.
With the victory of the Governor-Elect in the March 18th, 2023 governorship election in the state, Oborevwori has demonstrated Unyielding boldness and determination to accomplish more on the M.O.R.E agenda for all Deltans.
A passionate appeal has been made by concerned Deltans, on the people of the State to support the administration of Sheriff Oborevwori in sustaining the development stride of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa when sworn-in on May 29th, 2023 because he is a committed and dedicated individual with passion for politics.
The Speaker has a vision for the state, a dream of better Delta and has determined to make it a reality as he is sworn- in as the Executive Governor of the State Come May 29th.
Checks have shown that the Governor-Elect has become a force to be reckoned with in Delta State politics and beyond.
Also records have revealed that he has served in various capacity as pioneer Chairman of Osubi Community, Councilor, Senior Special Assistant on security to the Governor on youth Development, Special Adviser to the Governor on Land Security, State Co-ordinator of Amnesty programme and currently Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly. Now he is one of the most influential political figures in the state and has left a lasting legacy in his respective field.
