Ahead of the 2022 Publishers’ Media Week, publishers under the aegis of Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN), Delta State have put every machineries in place to honour those who have distinguished themselves in career, business community and political development in Nigerian.
The body, which is the umbrella body of all Community Newspapers in the state and Nigeria, is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
The Association is saddled with responsibility of regulating the activities of its members in the interest of creating enabling business environment, advocating for good governance, proper grassroots reportage, adherence to professional ethics and supporting of the public good.
Association of Community Newspaper Publishers of Nigeria (ACNPN) organizes the annual event where different personalities are honored for what they have done for their communities. The essence of the award is to identify and encourage others to be partakers in the development of their communities.
Information available revealed that Governor Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, will be the Special Guest of Honour, Professor Emmanuel Achenu, Rector, Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku will be ther chairman of the occasion while Royal Fathers of the day are HRM, Obuenwe Johnson Ekpechi Ulu, Ezemu of Emu kingdom, HRM, Monday Whiskey Udurhie l, Ovie of Idjerhe kingdom and HRM, Obi Fredrick.C. Egbunkony ll, Igwe of Abala kingdom and Omu of Ibusa kingdom, Obi Isioma Nwannabuogwu, will be the Royal Mother of the Day.
The ceremony which is billed for November 10, 2022 will take place at Vienna International Hotel DBS Road, Asaba at 11:00am.
