Delta State Junior Staff Buildings Sold Secretly by Civil Servants

Investigations by Zion National Newspaper and members of the Delta State Civil Liberties Organization,Delta State, a Human Rights group, have revealed that some apartments in the Junior Staff Quarter, Asaba, have secretly been sold by some dubious civil servants in the State’s employment.
Sources revealed that one Mr Daniel Esubi, a Driver in the Delta State Civil Service, was amongst those that have sold some of the apartments in the quarter and allegedly being aided by Mr Stephen Ekurume, who is one of the Directors in the Delta State office of the Head of Service.
Information garnered exposed that the apartment sold by Daniel Esubi, was sold for N15million.
Earlier he had allegedly made an attempt to sell it to Mr Akpukuna, who is the Vice Chairman of the Quarter, for N5million, before getting the N15million offer.
It was confirmed that before now the State Government had earlier warned that those the buildings were entrusted with must not sell them until after a period of time, which has not elapsed by the record made available to our investigators.
There were other civil servants involved in the illegal sells of apartments in the Junior Staff Quarter in Asaba. The was a time one Omawumi’s child wanted to buy many of the apartments secretly.
