2023 Senatorial Ambition of former Commissioner for Education in Delta State, is currently shaking.
Amori was fingered among the Urhobo political leaders that gave support to former Governor James Ibori to dole out $1oom to the leadership of Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU) to endorse David Edevbie as the Urhobo governorship candidate for next year’s general election in the State.
Sources disclosed that many sons and daughters of Urhobo nation are no longer comfortable with the representations of the aforementioned persons.
It was gathered that Urhobo indigenes are now beginning to realize that Ibori and his cohorts are not fighting for the interest of the Urhobo nation but for their own selfish gains.
This is the reason why DC23 was set up by Ibori and Amori to enable the group deliver Edievie as Urhobo governorship candidate.
Consultations are currently on by some Urhobo indigenes to see how his ambition will be truncated.
Most Urhobo politicians who spoke to ZN on anonymity, disclosed that Amori is fraudulent in nature, stressing that he used his position as DC23 president to defraud aspirants from Urhobo extraction in the State.
According to them, “this was why many aspirants complained bitterly on how he deceived them by promoting DC23 PDP tickets.
They also alleged that what Amori is doing now was what he did in 2007 election when he was backing former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan but pretended supporting Urhobo course, until last minute when he mobilized Urhobo Political Front (UPF) to back Uduaghans election.
It was gathered that Ibori and Amori brought in Moses Taiga to Urhobo Progressive Union (UPU) to perpetrate evil and endorse Edevbie. This act of Amori has contributed to his Senatorial Ambition suffering setback.
The Chairman Delta State Capital Territory Development Authority, Ighoyota Amori who claimed to be a political Jesus of Delta State during Ibori’s administration, did not deemed it fit to actualize the course of Urhobo nation because he belongs to the greedy political class.
Sources further revealed that the Urhobos have concluded plans to vote a man of conscience and focus to represent them in the House of Senate to attract development to the district.
When Amori was a defacto governor of the State, what did he do to develop Urhobo nation? The answer is zero only what he was good at was to sleep with woman and dole out reasonable sum to them.
This is still in the memory line of Deltans that Amori was sacked as a senator representing Delta Central in the Senate by a court while he was busy having good time with Brazilian prostitutes.
