Delta State Ohanaeze Ndlgbo Youth Wing Begins Consultations

The apex body of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Youth Wing, Delta State branch, has started consultations in Delta State in preparations for the 2023, general elections.  The branch has started consulting well meaning Deltans to support the South East quest to produce the next President of Nigeria come 2023. The group is also discussing with other groups in the State to see that a governor that has the general interests of all the Senatorial Districts that make up Delta State emerges

Delta North Senatorial District is a Core lgbo speaking area that makes up Ohanaeze Ndigbo.   Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth is very formidable in Delta State and Nigeria. The Youth Wing is the life wire of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide.

In Delta State, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Youth Wing has her branches spread round the twenty five Local Government Area in the State

The State Youth Leader, Desmond Arinze and National Youth Treasurer, Obiemenyego Chris, while giving an address assured of making sure that lgbo interests are well represented both at the State and National Levels.

The State Executive commended the Leadership of the National Acting Youth Leader, Onwuasonya Jones, who has been performing very well since he took over office in the acting capacity.

There is already a plan to pay courtesy call by the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Youth Wing, on Gov lfeanyi Okowa.

In line with its determination to mobilize support from across all ethnic, religious, social and economic classes across Nigeria and beyond for the emergence of a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction in 2023, the youth wing of the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, under the acting leadership of Onwuasoanya FCC Jones, has set up a Presidential Lobby Team. The membership of the team is as follows:

The Acting Leader gave the following terms of Reference to the committee:

  1. To identify credible, reliable, qualified and highly saleable Southeast candidates from across Party lines who may be supported for the presidential election in 2023.
  2. To initiate high level engagements with relevant stakeholders across Party, religious and ethnic lines, towards convincing them on the need to support an Igbo for the presidency of Nigeria in 2023.
  3. To mobilize support across different political lines towards ensuring that an Igbo is elected President of Nigeria in 2023.
  4. To make quarterly reports to the National Executive Committee of the Youth Wing on progresses, challenges and strategies.
  5. To carry out other assignments as may be assigned to her by the National Executive Committee in line with the Igbo Presidency mandate.

The Acting Leader congratulated members of the committee and encouraged them to see this as service to their Fatherland.
