Community Newspaper Publishers under the aegis of Association of Community Newspaperj Publishers Of Nigeria (ACNPN), Delta State Council is set on November 30, 2023 to Honour these personalities: Member representing Okpe Constitueny in the Delta State House of Assembly ànd Former Commissioner for Works,Hon James Augoye, Commissioner for Finance,Hon Fidelis Tilije Okemor, Commandant, Nigerian Security And Civil Defence Corps, Delta State, Suleiman Agboola Jimoh, Chairman, Delta State Independent Electoral Commission(DSIEC), Dr Jerry Agbaike, Head of Service, Delta State, Mr Reginald Bayoko and HRM, (Dr)Obi Ifechukwude Aninish Okonyo II.
In a release Jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the 2023 Publisher’s Media Week Committee, Comrades Philip Ike Abiagom and Solomon Ogala said the event scheduled to hold at the Press Center of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Maryam Babangida Way, Asaba at 11:00am, will have the Governor of Delta State.
Rt(Hon) Sheriff Oborevwori as Special Guest of Honour, Senior Policy Adviser to the Governor, Rt(Hon) Solomon Funkekeme and. Internal Auditor (Federal Co-operative College, Oji-River, Enugu State) as guest speakers. Others are: HRM of Ebu, Umuebu Kingdom, Ambassador Donald Ejechi Ekeruche and HRM of Abala Kingdom, Obi Fredrick Chukwuloe Egbunkonye II are Royal Fathers of the Day. Former Commissioner and Attorney General of the State, Hon (Barr) Peter Mrakpor (SAN), Commissioner For Works (Rural Roads) in the State, Hon Charles Ehiedu Aniagwu, Former Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Provost Emeritus, Dr Ignatius Nwanze Ezoem and Ogbuefi Fidelis Egwulemu are to be in attendance.
The themes of the Lectures are: The Role of Media, Building Synergy Between The Government And Grassroots For Effective Service Delivery”, “Co-operative Society, Model Palliative For Self-Reliance, Economic Growth and Industrialization,” which will be an innovation sharing session to give Publishers and Journalists in the State wings to fly beyond the challenging period in the economy and further empower entrepreneurs of any scale for enduring success in their respective professions.
The release stated’ we are using the opportunity to empower the people and the general public with business knowledge, idea and insight to help them maximize their potentials in life especially in the area of running a successful media events”.
Also, the Programme would will be a golden opportunity for participants to gain world training and monitoring session from the erudite Speakers. The participants will further engage the speakers in question and answer session which will build lasting relationship and connections that will help them advance their media works and grassroots reportage with the people in their various communities in the Country.
Information available to ZN, revealed that this will be the fifteen edition of the annual event of the noble association aimed at establishing business and startup to build needed capacity for growth and development of Community Newspaper Publishers in the Country.
The awardees were nominated for the 2023 ACNPN Excellence Award based on their contributions to the growth and development of the State through their various professions.
